Chocolate Chip Cookies

The crown jewel of my cookie recipe collection.

Ingredients

  • 187 g sugar
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 192 g shortening or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 280 g all purpose flour
  • 5 g baking soda
  • 6 g salt
  • 225 g chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 370°.
  2. Cream together margarine and sugars. Add vanilla and egg replacer and mix. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until light brown.

Notes

  1. Half and half shortening and margarine works well.
