Brownies

Fudgy, crisp-topped brownies. For some reason getting this to work without eggs is really difficult.

Ingredients

  • 437 g sugar
  • 110 g canola oil
  • 158 g water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 250 g all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 79 g cocoa powder
  • 3 g baking powder
  • 4 g salt

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients until smooth.
  3. Add in the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed, taking care not to over-mix. The batter should be a thick dough-like consistency, not unlike cookie dough.
  4. Press the mixture in to a lightly greased or parchment lined 9×9 pan, and stick them in your pre-heated 350 degree oven.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes, taking care not to over-bake or they will be very hard! They should look gooey in the center with a firm set edge & a crackled top.
